MUSICAL PROGRAM “SONIDOS QUE ILUMINAN

The aim is to reach children, adolescents and adults with visual impairments in the municipalities of Ibagué (Tolima) and Neiva (Huila) through music training workshops with a tailored approach and the staging of a final closing concert as a finale to enable the visibility of culturally inclusive events.

General objective: Promote the active participation of blind people and people with visual impairments in musical creation, performance and appreciation, using accessible tools and inclusive methodologies.

Specific objectives:

  • Foster social integration through performances and artistic collaborations.
  • Develop rhythmic, melodic, and improvisational skills.
  • Promote musical independence.

Methodology:

1. Auditory training sessions

  • Exercises in recognizing intervals, chords and rhythmic patterns.
  • Imitation of simple rhythmic patterns through rhythmic syllables and body percussion.
  • Recognition of different sounds, familiar or unfamiliar, according to their pitch (high, middle, low).
  • Exercises in imitating melodies represented through spontaneous body movements.

2. Collaborative music creation

  • Group composition of original pieces.
  • Use of adapted acoustic and digital instruments.

3. Public presentations

  • Inclusive concerts with descriptive narration for the audience.
  • Recording and dissemination on platforms and social networks.

  • Increased access for blind and visually impaired people to music education.
