The aim is to reach children, adolescents and adults with visual impairments in the municipalities of Ibagué (Tolima) and Neiva (Huila) through music training workshops with a tailored approach and the staging of a final closing concert as a finale to enable the visibility of culturally inclusive events.
General objective: Promote the active participation of blind people and people with visual impairments in musical creation, performance and appreciation, using accessible tools and inclusive methodologies.
Specific objectives:
- Foster social integration through performances and artistic collaborations.
- Develop rhythmic, melodic, and improvisational skills.
- Promote musical independence.
Methodology:
1. Auditory training sessions
- Exercises in recognizing intervals, chords and rhythmic patterns.
- Imitation of simple rhythmic patterns through rhythmic syllables and body percussion.
- Recognition of different sounds, familiar or unfamiliar, according to their pitch (high, middle, low).
- Exercises in imitating melodies represented through spontaneous body movements.
2. Collaborative music creation
- Group composition of original pieces.
- Use of adapted acoustic and digital instruments.
3. Public presentations
- Inclusive concerts with descriptive narration for the audience.
- Recording and dissemination on platforms and social networks.
Expected impact:
- Increased access for blind and visually impaired people to music education.
