Dreams under construction
Each project is a door we open toward independence, education and a future full of possibilities.
Building the future, step by step
Every child, young person and adult with visual impairment has dreams, abilities and the right to develop fully. However, the lack of appropriate tools, adapted spaces and specialized support limits their opportunities.
At Fundación Expresarte we work on concrete projects that transform these limitations into real possibilities. Projects born from the needs of our families and built with the support of people and organizations that believe in inclusion.
These are the dreams we are making come true.
Our First Learning Center
To create a physical space specially designed for the learning and comprehensive development of children, young people and adults with visual impairment. A place that serves as home, school and community for the 200 families we currently support.
What does this project include?
- Sensory gym equipped with tools for psychomotor and sensory-perceptual development.
- Adapted furniture that responds to the specific needs of each age and developmental level
- Learning spaces designed for tactile, auditory and sensory exploration.
- Family support areas where parents and caregivers receive guidance and training.
- Library with adapted materials in braille, relief and accessible formats.
Why this is important:
Currently we work in borrowed or temporarily adapted spaces. Having our own center will allow us to offer more complete, permanent and higher-quality programs. It will be a place where every family knows they have a space that awaits them, welcomes them and supports them.

Tactile and Technological Materials
So that every child and young person has access to the specialized tools they need to learn, explore and develop their autonomy. Tools that open doors to knowledge and independence.
What do we need to purchase?
- Braille slates and styluses
- Cranmer abacuses for mathematics
- Raised maps and relief sheets
- Specialized tactile teaching materials
What do we need to purchase?
- Screen readers and specialized software
- Braille displays (braille displays)
- Electronic magnifiers and magnifying glasses
- Computers with assistive technology
- Recorders and audio devices
Teaching materials:
- Adapted educational games
- Braille books and accessible formats
- Sensory development materials
- Miniature reproductions for learning
Why this is important:
A child with visual impairment learns through touch, hearing, and sensory exploration. Without adapted materials, their development becomes limited. These materials not only allow them to learn, but also to play, create, and dream like any other child.

What it means for our families
Eliana Marcela Fragoso Reyes
Girl with visual impairment
“The Expresarte Inspiring Dreams Foundation has been a huge support in my life. Their constant guidance has shown me that visual impairment is not a barrier to achieving my dreams, and thanks to them I know I am not alone on this journey.”
Jeniffer Tatiana Rivera Sáenz
Beneficiary, Neiva
“I came to the Expresarte Foundation almost by chance, and it turned out to be one of the best things that has happened to me. Through their assistive tools, artistic workshops, and training programs, I have been able to strengthen skills that help me in my daily life as a person with visual impairment.”
Edna Yulieth
Juan XXIII Educational Institution
“On behalf of our institution, I deeply thank Fundación Expresarte for the donation of canes to our visually impaired students. This act of solidarity has opened doors for them to greater autonomy, safety, and participation within the school environment.”
Jairo Huertas Forero
Tutor and uncle of Axl Joshua Hernández
“Fundación Expresarte has been an unconditional support for my nephew Axl Joshua, a visually impaired child who also lost his mother five years ago. Every year, the foundation motivates him with activities and gifts; this 2025, they gave him a guitar, which we hope will be the beginning of a new dream for him.”
Juliana Cardona, Karen and Nohora Montilla
Beneficiary Family
“We want to express our most sincere gratitude to Ms. María Johana and Fundación Expresarte for the love and dedication they show towards children with visual disabilities. Their work is a beacon of light for those who need it most, and their representatives in Neiva proudly reflect that same commitment and dedication.”
Each project is a promise of a better future
These dreams are not just ours; they belong to every child who hopes to have the tools to learn, to every family seeking a place to feel supported, to every young person who dreams of becoming independent.
