Our story begins with love

A story of learning, overcoming, and the deep desire that no family should walk alone.

How Expresarte was born

Fundación Expresarte Inspirando Sueños was founded in 2011, driven by a mother’s unconditional love for her son Samuel Olarte Rojas, who has lived with visual impairment since birth.

The path was not easy. It was a process full of challenges, but also of deep lessons and moments of immense happiness. Every day with Samuel taught new ways of seeing the world, facing obstacles, and discovering that with the right tools, the correct support and lots of love, everything is possible.

In a country where support for people with disabilities is limited and empathy scarce, there arose the need to share everything learned during Samuel’s habilitation and inclusion process. Thus, together with our family, we made this project a reality with a clear goal: to change the lives of many children, young people and their families.

Because we firmly believe that together we can build a better future full of great possibilities.

A team committed to change

We have a team of specialized and committed professionals in inclusive education, occupational therapy, typhlology, psychology, social work and pedagogy.

Each member of our team shares the passion for building a more inclusive future, working day by day with dedication, respect and deep love for what we do.

Holistic education through play

We understand that children and young people with visual impairments learn in a unique and special way, so all educational materials require tactile and sensory adaptation.
Our methodology is based on clear principles:

Meaningful learning

Education should be engaging and meaningful for the child. Play is their main learning tool.

Adapted concrete material

Tactile maps and raised charts, miniature reproductions, recordings, educational games, adapted books, etc.

Comprehensive development

We work across all areas: language, psychomotor skills, sensory perception, social skills, emotional development, and creativity.
